The largest bank in Belarus protected its data using Falcongaze SecureTower

Belarusbank which is the largest bank in Belarus introduced the information security solution SecureTower developed by Falcongaze Company into the corporate network. The deployment of the system was preceded by the rigorous testing of the product and its comparison with DLP solutions from other vendors. Based on the results of the tests the security department of Belarusbank chose the SecureTower system.

The banking sector has always been the most vulnerable to the threats of data leakage. The feature of any bank is that it processes large amounts of information which in fact is one of the most powerful assets of any credit and financial institution. According to statistics, one in seven data leakage occurs in the banking sector. Therefore, ensuring an adequate level of data protection is a necessary measure for institutions operating in that area.

As one of the major participants in economic processes in the Republic of Belarus, JSC Belarusbank shows a responsible attitude to the information assets protection. In addition to compliance with regulatory requirements, the bank developed an internal information security policy.

When choosing DLP solution one of the key demands of Belarusbank was the presence of extensive functional to monitor mail servers. In any organization e-mail is one of the main channels of business communication: every day employees of companies from different areas send and receive dozens of e-mails. Given the intensity of the use of the channel the probability of information leakage via e-mail grows significantly.
